Hospitals and clinics in Thailand, compared by treatment and city

Thai hospitals and clinics publish very different amounts: some list package prices, accreditation and languages, others little more than a phone number. Each comparison shows who publishes what for a treatment, so you know exactly what to ask for.

What to look for before you choose

  • Package prices rarely cover the same things. Medication, tests, doctor fees and nights in hospital are often outside the headline price. Compare the line items, not the totals.
  • Some prices are not for everyone. A number of published packages apply only to Thai residents, or only to patients flying in. Check which price applies to you before you compare.
  • Accreditation belongs to the hospital, not always the department. JCI and Thai hospital accreditation cover the hospital or named programmes. Ask whether the unit you will use is one of them.
  • Outside Bangkok, many options come from the same groups. In Phuket, Chiang Mai and Pattaya a good share of the choice is branches of the same hospital networks, so a genuine second opinion may mean a different group.
